Hello everyone, this is the collection of TIBUKKYO Derong. Today I would like to introduce the difference between the full jade giant clam and the ice-through grade giant clam. First of all, what is a clam?
Classification of Jade Degrees of Tridacna
Tridacna is divided into unjade clam (porcelain white), semi-jade clam (milk white), full jade clam (transparent white), yellow clam [many cracks], blood clam, gold silk clam and filigree Tridacna etc.
Among them, filigree and yellow clams, blood clams and jade clams are the most precious. Some "jade" giant clams on the market are added with chemical bleaching agents, which cannot see the texture of the giant clams themselves. It is impossible for two natural giant clams to be exactly the same, and the ice-through grade giant clams are the highest grade of jadeized giant clams.
The main component of giant clam is calcium carbonate, which cannot be exposed to acid. If it is exposed to too much oil and sweat, the surface will be "fogged". Therefore, when playing with beads, it can be washed regularly with clean water.

Tridacna Jade Degree Video
You can watch the video to see the transparency of giant clams more intuitively, but no matter it is any kind of giant clam, it will definitely have the natural texture of giant clams under the light tube. Tridacna can be divided into yellow clam and white clam. Compared with white clam, yellow clam has more natural wormholes (small pits on the surface). Friends who are collectors can also consider ice-transparent full-jade white clams, which are relatively rare in the market.

Tridacninae
The term Tridacna began in the Han Dynasty. Tridacna, pearls, coral, and amber are known as the four organic gemstones in the West. In Chinese Buddhism, gold, silver, glass, agate, coral, and pearls are also revered as one of the seven treasures.
